things I’m loving

The spring cleaning bug has bitten me with a vengeance and I’ve been cleaning out closets and drawers. It feels so good to get rid of stuff we don’t need!

Oh basil, I love you. At the beginning of winter I divided my huge basil plant, stuck two clumps of it in pots, and brought them inside. One died a few months ago, but this one is still holding on and has recently had a growth spurt. Please don’t ask me how this survived six months of winter — I think “by the grace of God” would be the answer to that one.

I made a batch of these burger buns on Sunday and we’ve been eating them all week. Yes, they need to rise for awhile, but they are so, so worth it.

We picked this up in Las Vegas last month and it is now finding its way into everything I cook (including those burger buns up above). It reminds me of the “Mrs. Dash” seasoning my grandmother used on everything when I was little — can anyone relate? Super tasty and salt-free.

My mom made this quilted spring-y table runner for my birthday and it makes me smile every time I walk past the table. Thanks, Mom!

And this purse. It’s the perfect carry-all that I’ve been wanting forever, and it was only $25. I wish I could post a link so that you can all buy one, but it’s from H&M and for some ungodly reason they don’t sell online. If you have a store near you, go!

I love this post!
I too, love those burger buns. They are worth every minute of rise time.
That table runnier is so pretty and happy!
And what IS the deal with H&M not selling online? It’s the worst.
I love that runner so much! It’s so beautiful and springy, I can see why it makes you happy
Lovely picture:) And you truly are my daughter with the love of cleaning things out! The runner was so easy and you should try it…it’s from Amy Smart’s blog ( Diary of a Quilter). Way easier than making homemade burger buns…!
