summer 2011: so into it

Summer! It’s almost over. How did that happen? I’m still kind of confused because this is the first summer of my life that I haven’t been sweating it out in 100° temps every other day. And let me tell you, I am so into it. I can handle this kind of summer. Please don’t hate me! Anyway, here’s what I’ve been into.

Pancakes! I’m so into pancakes right now. Fancy ones, with fruit. Like these.

Local berry anything. We ate this marionberry shortcake at the Bite of Oregon and I almost died. Amazing.

These shirts. I’m obsessed and wear them constantly. They are beyond comfortable and super flattering. I can’t get enough.

My little garden! I have three tomato plants and one zucchini plant (er, bush) and they’re going nuts. This particular plant is taller than I am. Can’t wait to eat those cute little guys!

Do you guys know about halo (also called donut) peaches? Is this a Northwest thing? I’ve never seen them before this summer and they may just be the best peaches I’ve ever had. So sweet and juicy — just go ahead and eat them over the sink.

I’m into this book! Six weeks in, as a matter of fact. It’s super popular right now…mostly because it’s awesome. I’ve always hated weight lifting and I totally love and recommend this program. Do it.

What have you been into this summer?

Those pancakes look seriously good. Yum! Fruity pancakes are where it’s at.

And I’ve seen those peaches around and had no idea they were so dreamy! I’m going to get them the next time I find them. I’ve got to!
